If you’re familiar with this area, just east of Township & College, you know the views are amazing. The thought of the view from the third level balcony of this hillside home makes me drool. Built in 1997, this home has 2,700 square feet.

I’m rarely attracted to more traditional homes like this one, but this one is simply gorgeous. And check out the view! Built in 2008, this 4,200 square foot home is situated on the end of a cul-de-sac with western & northern views of Fayetteville.

A sweet little surprise in the Walker Park neighborhood of south Fayetteville. What a shock (in a very nice way) when I drove by this modern home that is just over 1,000 square feet at 12th & Washington.

Modern new construction I spotted yesterday. It sits on a treed corner lot on the northern edge of the Washington-Willow neighborhood. The detached space at the rear appears to be a studio of some sort. Soaring ceilings and tons of natural light.

Now is a Great Time to Buy

As the housing market took a nose dive in 2006-2008 there was one segment of the population that actually came out ahead – home buyers!

  • Home affordability is at an all-time high
  • Mortgage rates are at rock bottom
  • Home prices are back on the rise
  • Sellers are motivated
  • Financing is readily available
  • Homeownership is still at the core of the American Dream!

When I happened upon this home last week I thought it was newer construction. It was actually built in 1975 and has almost 6,000 square feet. I was immediately attracted to it because of its lush grounds and it looks to be beautifully renovated.

America’s Best High Schools

Newsweek recently published it’s 2010 list of America’s Best High Schools. Our local schools fared well on the list, giving  us yet another reason northwest Arkansas is one of the most desirable destinations to live, work, and play! The list represents only 1,600 (or 6%) of our nation’s best public schools based on performance in advanced-placement (AP) courses and tests. The article includes some interactive features and a profile for each school. Below are the rankings for the six area schools that made the list. The rankings put Har-Ber and Fayetteville in the top 2% nationally. Congratulations to the faculty & staff that make our schools such valuable institutions.

#411  Har-Ber High School (Springdale)
#448  Fayetteville High School
#589  Bentoville High School
#1148  Rogers High School
#1430  Springdale High School
#1574  Pea Ridge High School
